Bolly Wood Tennis Bracelet

Pirates Bracelet How To

All supplies can be found at the Bead Trunk

Supply list is for a finished 6.5” to 8” bracelet.

3 feet of 24 gauge gold fill wire
2” of large gold fill link chain
1 medium lobster claw clasp
6 double drilled CZ coin crystal
13 crystal rhinestone spacers “wedding rings”
6 puff square copper beads

Tools needed for project:
Round nose pliers
Chain nose pliers

Wire cutters

Step 1

Use the round nose pliers add place them 1” down on one end of the 24 gauge gold fill wire.  Using the tool, bend the wire away from you at a 90 degree angle (Pic-1 & 2).  Leave the tool stationary and with your other hand bring the short tail of wire back over top the round nose pliers. (Pic-3)  This step creates one half of the loop.  Now remove the round nose pliers and place the beginning of your loop so it is now on the bottom nose of the tool (Pic-4)  bring the short tail of wire up underneath the bottom nose of the tool and away from you.

Step 2

Gently open the loop to one side, just enough to slide on one of the double drilled coin CZ’s. (Pic-5)  use the round nose pliers to hold the loop flat in between the nose’s of the tool (Pic-6)  Be careful not to nick the CZ, you also make sure the loop is big enough for the crystal to move.  Now hold the round nose pliers in your non-dominate hand and pick up the chain nose pliers in your other hand.  (I am right handed, so I would hold the round nose pliers in my left hand)  Use the chain nose pliers to create a coil wrap starting underneath the loop you created earlier.  (Pic-7)  Again, be careful to not nick the CZ crystal.  Repeat steps 1 through 7 for the other side of the CZ.

Step 3

String onto the wire one rhinestone spacer, puff copper square bead and another rhinestone spacer (Pic-8 & 9), then create another loop with your round nose pliers and sting on another CZ crystal.  Repeat these steps until you get the length you desire.  On one end instead of string on a CZ; I strung on the clasp and wire wrapped it on, creating a secure clasp, then on the opposite side I wire wrapped the chain to the bracelet, now there are no open loops.  The chain also makes this bracelet adjustable and great for gift giving.  Add a crystal drop to the bottom using a head pin for more pizzazz if you wish.
